Kids' Events in Egbertville

About kids' events in Egbertville

A quiet Staten Island neighborhood sitting right at the center of the Staten Island Greenbelt, Egbertville is essentially surrounded by forest. The big draw for little ones is High Rock Park, one of the Greenbelt's most accessible entry points, where even a short walk means ponds, birds, and a real sense of being out in the woods. The nature center trail there includes a leg specifically designed for small kids, so toddlers are not just tolerated but genuinely accounted for. On weekends the area has a slow, residential pace: single-family homes, yards, quiet streets, and trees everywhere you look. There is almost no commercial strip to speak of, so you are coming here to get outside, not to run errands. Getting around without a car takes some planning since bus service runs along the main roads but the neighborhood itself is hilly and spread out. The Bernikow JCC on nearby Manor Road fills the indoor gap well, and that is where Happy Day Play Family Learning runs its Grown Up and Me program, no JCC membership required to attend. With 25 upcoming events on the calendar, there is more going on here than the sleepy streets suggest.
