Kids' Events in Croton-on-Hudson

About kids' events in Croton-on-Hudson

For a small kid, getting out of the house in Croton-on-Hudson is mostly about the local library branch and a handful of playgrounds within a short walk or drive from most houses. The library runs a steady schedule of early childhood programming, including groups like New Parents Together, so you can land on a weekday morning and find something age-appropriate without much planning. The rest of the calendar tilts toward classes: six active studios keep things going, with Bennett Conservatory of Music, Croton Academy of Arts, Croton Harmon Music Academy, Childrenspace North, and Straddles Gymnastics offering lessons from dance and drums to science and outdoor play. Some listings are oddly bare, like a Saturday to Sunday closed note or rehearsal times, so scan the titles carefully. Getting around means driving or taking the Bee-Line bus, with Metro-North on the Hudson Line for trips south. Parking near the village center is usually easy, and sidewalks cover the main shopping street. Your best bet is to pick one indoor class and one library visit, then fill the rest with playground time.
