About kids' events in Jersey City
In Jersey City, you are never far from a place to burn off toddler energy. The waterfront has long open stretches for running, while most blocks have a couple of playgrounds within a short walk, and the local library branch runs story times that fill up fast. On our calendar right now, you will find 51 upcoming events and 100 from the last six months, leaning heavily into ballet. Tutu School Jersey City Heights leads the pack, with classes like Primary Ballet Prep A/B, alongside sensory play at Little Milestones for Small Discoveries and outdoor sessions from three little birds. Karate at Enter The Dragon Karate starts at age three, and camps like Holiday Break Mini Camp or Camp Chilltown Aftercare cover school breaks. Getting around is a real split. Downtown and the waterfront give you easy PATH or NJ Transit access to Manhattan, but once you move west into the Heights or further inland, driving is the norm and parking can mean circling blocks. The local recreation department also runs free toddler programming, so pair those with the paid classes here and you can build a full week without crossing the river.
