About kids' events in Cos Cob
In Cos Cob, getting out with a toddler usually means a short drive to a local playground or a walk to the Greenwich Library, Cos Cob branch. The neighborhood sits along the water in coastal Fairfield County, with the Sound nearby, and families rely on the town’s library, parks, and recreation programs for most kid activities. Parking is easy at the library and most parks, and you will likely drive between spots since Metro-North connects the area to Manhattan but is not how you get to a morning class. Right now, the calendar there is mostly storytime, with nine sessions at the Cos Cob Library, including outdoor ones like “Fall Garden Storytime.” There are also four language classes and one movement class, all held at the same library branch. That means you can park once and plan a visit around a story, some play, and picking out board books. With just one active studio in town, the library is the anchor for early childhood programming, which keeps things simple: check the schedule, show up, and let the librarian lead the way. A typical outing lasts under an hour, leaving time for a walk to a nearby playground before heading home.
