Kids' Events in Harrison

About kids' events in Harrison

You can get out of the house here without overthinking it. A couple of playgrounds sit within a short walk of most residential blocks, and parks have open grass for a picnic blanket or a first soccer kick. The local library branch, Harrison Public Library, is the anchor for indoor days, and it shows up on our calendar with storytimes and board game afternoons like "Board Game Saturday." Right now we have 87 events listed for Harrison, and the mix leans heavily on being outside: 30 outdoor activities, plus sports and movement classes. Storytimes are the next biggest group, with music, art, dance, and a little science scattered through. That means a typical week could be a morning outdoor play group, a toddler movement class, and then an afternoon art session, all without driving far. Getting around is by car in practice, with parking generally easy at the parks and the library. Metro-North runs through the county, but you will likely buckle the kid into the car seat for most errands and classes.
