About kids' events in Edgewater
On a clear morning, Edgewater feels like a small waterfront town with Manhattan across the river. You can push a stroller along the promenade, stop at a playground, and still have energy for the local library branch before lunch. A couple of playgrounds sit within a short walk of most apartments, and the recreation department keeps up with seasonal toddler programming. Our calendar here is light but solid: five events in the coming months and seven in the last six. Edgewater Performing Arts runs pre-ballet for kids around three to five, and The Village Edgewater hosts Lil’ Sport, a low pressure movement class that works for a two year old who refuses to sit still. Most sessions happen after work or on weekend mornings, so they fit around naps. Getting here is easy by PATH or NJ Transit from waterfront towns, but once you are local, you will likely drive. Street parking is tight near the river, but studios have lots or easy drop off zones. Keep the car seat handy and pack a snack, because the waterfront path is the real draw after class.
