About kids' events in Pearl River
Rockland County sits west of the Hudson, and Pearl River is a car-first place where you’ll drive to most outings. Parking is easy at strip plazas and municipal lots, so loading a toddler in and out is part of the routine. If you don’t drive, NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley line runs through town, but you’ll still need a car for most park and library trips. For little kids, the local library branch carries the load. Nearly everything on our calendar right now happens at that single venue. You’ll find storytimes for the under-five set, plus art and science sessions that skew slightly older in the sample titles, like one on kids’ tech. The library runs these regularly, so even with zero active studios in town, there’s a steady weekly rhythm to tap into. A couple of playgrounds sit within a short walk of the downtown area, and the village’s residential streets are quiet enough for a stroller push after a morning class. If you live nearby, your go-to move is checking the library’s schedule and pairing it with a playground stop. That’s the Pearl River way for a 2-year-old.
