A mid-rise Queens neighborhood of co-ops, apartment towers, and tree-lined side streets, Rego Park is the kind of place where families put down actual roots. Weekday mornings you'll see strollers on Yellowstone Boulevard, and the neighborhood has a handful of small playgrounds within easy walking distance, including Yellowstone Municipal Park, a grass-and-play-equipment spot that local parents have been using for decades. Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of the biggest green spaces in the city, is reachable in about 15 minutes.
