Kids' Events in Coney Island

About kids' events in Coney Island

A real working-class neighborhood at the southern tip of Brooklyn, Coney Island has a beach and boardwalk that double as a genuine backyard for families who live here year-round. Toddlers have surprisingly good outdoor options: there is a playground right on the beach near the boardwalk, and Seaside Park, next to the amphitheater, has picnic tables and play equipment too. The New York Aquarium is a five-minute walk from the main subway station and a solid rainy-day move for the under-four crowd. The Brooklyn Public Library's Coney Island branch on Mermaid Avenue runs Toddler Time and other kids' programs and is one of the active spots feeding events into this calendar. Getting here is straightforward: the D, F, N, and Q trains all stop at Coney Island Stillwell Avenue, so you are not car-dependent. Weekends in summer get busy near the boardwalk, but the residential blocks are quiet. Right now there are 14 upcoming events on this calendar, with programming from local organizers including Camp Maritime.
