Kids' Events in Chappaqua

About kids' events in Chappaqua

Getting out of the house in Chappaqua with a small kid means short drives or walks to a few local playgrounds, plus the general parks and open space that Westchester towns share. The local library branch is the anchor for toddler life here, and it shows in what we have listed. Nearly all of the 45 upcoming events on our calendar are storytimes, including the regular “Bouncing Babies” sessions, along with a handful of art classes, two swim programs, one outdoor event, and a single show. Five active studios run these, but the clear center of gravity is the Chappaqua Library, which hosts the bulk of what you will find. Practical reality: you will drive. Metro-North’s Harlem Line stops here, and Bee-Line buses cover local routes, but parking lots and car seats are the daily tools. Most errands and classes are a five minute drive apart, so plan for easy parking rather than walking between spots. For a 1 to 4 year old, the library’s storytime rotation alone gives you plenty of weekday structure, and the swim and art options fill the gaps. Keep it simple: pick a storytime, arrive early, and let the librarian lead.
