About kids' events in Peekskill
Getting out with a toddler in Peekskill means short trips and familiar spots. The area has a couple of playgrounds within a short walk, and the local library branch, The Field Library, runs storytime and open play sessions. When you need to burn energy, an indoor playspace or a music class often does the trick, and you will find both listed here. Our calendar for Peekskill currently has 47 events, mostly music and art, with a good mix of science, storytime, and playspace drop-ins. Peek-a-Boo Family Music shows up a lot, including a class for babies under eight months, alongside art and movement sessions. The Field Library is another steady anchor, hosting storytime and open play with care kits. Sports and movement classes round things out, so there is a reasonable spread across the week. Getting around is by car or the Bee-Line bus, with Metro-North’s Hudson Line running into Manhattan. Parking near the library and studios is generally easy on weekdays, and walking between the handful of spots is doable if you plan around naptime. For a small kid, you can cover a lot in one morning without a long drive.
