Kids' Events in Bath Beach

About kids' events in Bath Beach

A quiet corner of southwestern Brooklyn, Bath Beach is the kind of place where the streets are low-rise and unhurried, and you can actually hear yourself think on a Sunday afternoon. The housing is mostly semi-attached brick houses and small apartment buildings, which gives the whole area a grounded, residential feel that suits life with a toddler well. Bath Beach Park, right on Shore Parkway with a view of the water, has a play area built with little kids in mind, including a spray shower and spring-ride toys with an ocean theme. Bensonhurst Park is a short distance away and has multiple play areas too. For a storytime or a rainy-day reset, the Brooklyn Public Library's Ulmer Park branch sits on Bath Avenue and runs programs for young kids, including events you'll find listed here. Getting around is easiest with a stroller and some patience. The D train stops at Bay Parkway, but the neighborhood has a semi-suburban pace, and many families drive or walk locally rather than rely heavily on transit. The Shore Parkway Promenade is flat and easy to push a stroller along, with open water views that make even a slow loop feel worthwhile.
