About kids' events in Huntington
Long Island towns like Huntington are car-first, but the downtown core is compact enough that a couple of playgrounds and the local library branch are within a short walk of each other. Town recreation departments and independent public libraries carry most of the free toddler programming, so check their bulletin boards when you are out. Parking near the main strip is usually findable on weekdays, and the Long Island Rail Road runs west into Penn Station and Grand Central if you want to skip driving altogether. On our calendar right now, there are three live music events for little kids, all happening at The Paramount in concert with Northwell. The one we can name is Laurie Berkner: A Live Holiday Concert, which is a solid pick if your toddler likes dancing and singing along. Ticketmaster is handling the listings, so expect standard ticketing fees. For a morning out, you can grab coffee, hit the playground, and be home for nap without much planning. Just drive, find a spot near the venue, and walk the rest.
