About kids' events in Westbury
Getting out of the house in Westbury usually means a short drive to a local playground or the library branch, where toddler story times and morning programs fill the calendar. The town recreation department and nearby libraries carry most of the free, drop-in stuff for this age. Most families live in hamlets inside the larger town, so errands happen by car, and parking is rarely a problem. Right now, our Westbury calendar is light but specific. We have one active studio, Empire Adventure Park, which runs two dance events and two music events. The example listing is “Saturday Night Dance Party - $40,” so expect structured, pay-per-class sessions rather than free library circles. The same venue hosts music classes suited to toddlers who like noise and movement. Only one past event appeared in the last six months, so this is a spot to watch rather than a weekly destination yet. Getting around is car-first, like most of Nassau County. The Long Island Rail Road runs through Westbury, so train trips into the city work for special outings, but everyday playdates mean buckling everyone into car seats and parking at your destination.
