Kids' Events in New Rochelle

About kids' events in New Rochelle

Getting out of the house with a toddler in New Rochelle usually starts with a decision: library or playground. The local library system runs the bulk of what we have listed, including the big one, Toddler Time. There is also a dedicated children’s library branch, where you will find yoga sessions like Yoga Tots. Between the two, storytimes dominate the calendar, with 23 upcoming, so you can almost always find one that fits your nap schedule. Beyond books, expect science, art, music, and sensory play, plus outdoor events run by Westchester County Parks, like DJ Days at Glen Island Beach, which is a lively way to spend a morning near the water. For days you want open space, a couple of playgrounds within a short walk and county-run outdoor programming cover most of it. Getting around is car-first, but parking is generally easy at the library and beach. The Bee-Line buses and Metro-North commuter rail connect you to the city or other parts of Westchester if you want to switch it up.
