Kids' Events in Tarrytown

About kids' events in Tarrytown

Getting out of the house with a small kid in Tarrytown usually means a short walk to the local library branch or one of the playgrounds scattered near the river. Warner Library runs the bulk of our storytimes, music classes, and art sessions, so it is a reliable anchor for weekday mornings. Westchester County Parks also shows up on the calendar, and the Tarrytown Lighthouse in neighboring Sleepy Hollow hosts open houses where toddlers can burn energy outside and look at the water. Right now we have 21 events listed. Most are storytime and music, with a few art, language, sensory, and yoga classes mixed in. You will see recurring favorites like “Music with Josh!” alongside one-off afternoons at the lighthouse. Pickings have been thin over the last six months, so the calendar tends to fill up in bursts rather than steadily. Getting here is easiest by car, and parking near the library does not usually fight you on a weekday. Metro-North runs south into Manhattan if you want to skip driving, and the Bee-Line bus handles local hops. For a toddler, the riverfront and its open spaces are the real draw.
