About kids' events in Orangeburg
Getting out with a toddler in Orangeburg usually means a short car ride to a nearby playground or a walk to the local library branch. The area is quiet and residential, so you will not find big commercial play spaces here, but you will find open grass and a couple of playgrounds within a short drive. The real action for small kids is at Orangeburg Library. Almost everything we have listed there falls into storytime or art, so expect lap rhymes, picture books, and simple crafts. They also run occasional performances, like the Magic, Ventriloquism and Balloon Twisting Workshop with Jackie the Magician. Right now we have nine events scheduled in Orangeburg, all at the library. Getting here is car-first, with parking at the library and most other stops. Buses cross the Mario Cuomo Bridge, and NJ Transit trains run south to Hoboken, but you will likely drive from home. Plan for a five-minute drive between any two points in the village. Keep storytime on your radar, it is the most reliable way to meet other parents.
