Kids' Events in Greenpoint

About kids' events in Greenpoint

At the top of Brooklyn, tucked between the East River and Williamsburg, Greenpoint has a low-key, residential feel that suits life with a toddler pretty well. The blocks are quieter than the neighborhoods to the south, and on weekends McGolrick Park fills up with kids on the playground, which has swings scaled for little ones, spray showers, and big trees overhead for shade. McCarren Park is a short walk away and adds a lot in summer, including a public pool. The G train and the NYC Ferry at India Street are your main ways in and out, so keep that in mind when planning your day. Getting around on foot is easy within the neighborhood itself. The Greenpoint Branch of Brooklyn Public Library runs programming for young families, and studios like Global Kids Music and The Tiny Scientist give kids a reason to get out of the house mid-week. Sunday mornings at McGolrick have a farmers market running year-round, which makes the park loop genuinely worth the trip even when it's cold out.
