Clase de Español is a 45-minute Spanish language class for young children, led by Elba Q, an advanced-degree language teacher. Through songs, movement, stories, and hands-on activities, children are introduced to Spanish in a foundational yet structured way. The class supports early language development, listening, and comprehension while building familiarity with sounds, grammar, vocabulary, and everyday communication, alongside social-emotional connection and expression. Your child is invited to arrive 30 minutes before your session to explore our playspace before the class. Motor Movement (PT) Motor Movement at Casa Primary is a guided physical development class designed to support infants and young children in building strength, coordination, and confidence as they learn to navigate their environment. Led by trained physical therapists from Downtown Kids Therapy, the class focuses on developing age-appropriate gross motor skills through intentional, play-based movement. Children are supported in reaching key milestones—rolling, crawling, standing, walking, and beyond—within a safe, thoughtfully prepared environment. Therapists observe each child’s movement patterns, offering gentle guidance and individualized support to strengthen areas of need while encouraging independence. Rooted in both clinical expertise and playful exploration, Motor Movement helps children build the physical foundation for confident movement, active play, and everyday participation in a loving, playful, and anti-stigma environment.

Nature Sound Exploration

A nature-rooted sensory sound bath for little ones that shifts with the seasons. Children touch and explore natural objects like pinecones, stones, and moss, hear a bit of nature wisdom to spark curiosity, and settle into a soft sound bath with a few deep breaths. A gentle and playful way to support their focus, calm, and connection to the natural world. Kirstie is a certified breathwork, sound, and forest therapy guide. She guides children into playful contact with sound and nature. These sessions support focus, calm, and sensory connection.

Early Literacy & Language at Casa Primary is a Montessori-aligned class designed to support children from infancy through age 12 in building confident, meaningful communication. Led by Amanda, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master’s degree from Boston University and a Certificate of Clinical Competence through ASHA, the class blends clinical expertise with a warm, child-centered approach. Through thoughtfully selected books, storytelling, sound play, and natural conversation, children are guided in developing early speech, expressive language, comprehension, and foundational reading skills. The environment is calm and responsive, allowing each child to engage at their own pace while building vocabulary, phonetic awareness, and confidence in communication. Grounded in playful interaction and real-life language opportunities, this class nurtures not only literacy development, but a genuine connection to language, expression, and understanding.

Through gentle song, rhythm, movement, and playful sound exploration, babies are encouraged to listen, connect and engage with music in a calm, responsive environment. This class supports early development, bonding, sensory awareness, and joyful connection through music. Led by Jamie, MT-BC, LCAT. A passionate music therapist, musician, and singer-songwriter who believes in supporting the growth and goals of those she works with through the use of creative arts. Jamie completed her Master's Degree in Music Therapy at New York University and is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York as well as a Board-Certified Music Therapist. Jamie has trained extensively in the use of music to support clients along the birth spectrum and through early childhood.

Little Chefs Kitchen at Casa Primary is a hands-on cooking class where toddlers and up are invited into a shared, child-accessible kitchen to explore food in a calm, intentional way. Working with fresh vegetables, simple ingredients, and health-conscious recipes—from homemade pastas to seasonal meals—children participate in the full process of preparing food from start to finish. With thoughtful guidance from teachers, children wash, chop, mix, and assemble at their own pace, building confidence, independence, and practical life skills. The experience is grounded in sensory exploration and real-world connection, allowing children to become familiar with ingredients and understand how food is made. More than cooking, Little Chefs supports the development of a positive, lasting relationship with nutrition—encouraging curiosity, participation, and a sense of pride in nourishing themselves and others. Grouped by age-- modified and guided in small groups for all levels up to 8 years! Teaching children kitchen safety and teamwork.

Storytime Chess Storytime Chess at Casa Primary is a playful, story-led introduction to the world of chess, where imagination and strategy meet. Guided by Julia R., a polyglot educator fluent in 9 languages including Italian, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and more, with a background in European Cultural Studies and Communication Science, children are invited into the game through narrative, characters, and creative exploration. Each session weaves storytelling with foundational chess concepts, helping children understand how pieces move, think ahead, and approach the board with curiosity rather than pressure. Through this gentle, engaging approach, children begin to develop focus, patience, and early strategic thinking. Rooted in Julia’s belief that chess is “mindfulness in motion,” the class supports not only cognitive growth, but confidence, presence, and a sense of enjoyment in learning—meeting each child with warmth, imagination, and care.

Infant Speech & Language Development A guided class for infants and caregivers led by a fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologist from Downtown Kids Therapy. This session focuses on early communication development through responsive interaction, sound play, and intentional engagement. Caregivers are supported in understanding how language begins—through eye contact, gestures, babbling, and shared attention—long before words emerge. Using developmentally appropriate techniques, Caitlin gently guides both infants and caregivers through simple, effective ways to support speech and language growth at home. The class incorporates songs, repetition, facial expression, and play-based interaction to encourage connection, imitation, and early sound production. This is a calm, supportive environment where caregivers gain practical tools, and infants are given space to explore communication at their own pace. Assisted by our Guides.
