Dan Meth Art Exhibit Opening
Thu, Sep 10 · 6:00 PM
Katonah Village Library · Katonah
Dan Meth grew up a few miles from the Katonah library as just another kid drawing quietly in the corner. Decades later, after bouncing around the New York media machine and working a decade in Europe, he's taken the scenic route back to Northern Westchester — picking up inspiration at every stop. Along the way, he built a career as a mixed-media artist known for cartoons and animated films - the kind that somehow ended up being screened at the Pompidou Museum in Paris, as well as festivals across the UK, South Korea, and Ukraine. He was handed a Streamy Award for Best Animated Series and spent a stint as Artist-in-Residence at Amsterdam's Kaboom Animation Festival; living proof that doodles can, occasionally, take you places. Meth has lectured on visual storytelling at NYU, Pratt, SVA, and Syracuse, and created art for clients such as Disney, Netflix, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Google. Come view his amazing art this month in the downstairs gallery space. The opening is free and open to all.
