At Artshack, we believe art is a powerful tool for self-expression, problem-solving, and growth. Kids explore clay through handbuilding, wheel throwing, and surface design while also developing ideas through drawing, drafting, and sketching. Our teaching artists guide students through a variety of materials and techniques, including printmaking, felting, and sculpture. Through process-based projects, children experiment, make discoveries, collaborate with peers, and build confidence in their creative abilities. 𓏊𓏋𓎟𓎺 FALL SEMESTER 𓏊𓏋𓎟𓎺 We follow the public school calendar. At Artshack, we believe art is an important tool for self-expression, problem-solving, and growth. This season, young artists will explore the world of clay, learning hand-building, the pottery wheel, and various tools. Alongside their clay work, they’ll engage in drawing, drafting, and sketching: essential practices that help children develop their ideas, refine compositions, and expand their creative thinking. Our teaching artists will guide students through a wide range of mixed-media techniques, including printmaking, felting, and sculpture. Each project encourages process-based art-making, where children experiment, make discoveries, and build confidence in their creative abilities. At Artshack, we provide a safe space for children to take creative risks, collaborate with peers, and develop their unique artistic voice, all while deepening their understanding of art as both a practice and a form of personal expression. 𓏊𓏋𓎟𓎺 SPRING SEMESTER: April 13-June 26 𓏊𓏋𓎟𓎺 HOLIDAYS: May 25, May 27, Jun 4, Jun 5, Jun 19 = MONDAYS = ∆ Clay & Mas (7-11y) / 3:30-5:30 ∆ PRETEENS (9-12) / 3:30 - 5:30 PM = TUESDAYS = ∆ KIDS (5-8y) / 3:00 - 5:00 PM ∆ PRETEENS (9-12y) / 3:00 - 5:00 PM ∆ PORTFOLIO CLASS (9-13y) 4:00 - 6:00 PM = WEDNESDAYS = ∆ KIDS (5-8y) / 4:00 - 6:00 PM ∆ PRETEENS (9-12y) / 4:00 - 6:00 PM ∆ TEENS STUDIO MENTORSHIP (12-15y) / 4:00 - 6:00 PM = THURSDAYS = ∆ CLAY CLUB* (4-12y) / 3:00-5:00 ∆ PRETEENS ON THE WHEEL (9-12y) / 3:00-5:00 = FRIDAYS = ∆ KIDS (5-8y) / 3:00 - 5:00 PM ∆ PRETEENS (9-12y) / 3:00 - 5:00 PM //////////////////////////////// ***Pick-up Service Available: Arts and Letters 305 United (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays) *CLAY CLUB Join us for Artshack’s first-ever Clay Club: a relaxed, drop-in clay studio on Monday and Thursday afternoons!
