About this event

Join us for a Book Club for those in grades 4-6! This month we will be reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. "When robot Roz opens her eyes for the first time, she discovers that she is all alone on a remote, wild island. She has no idea how she got there or what her purpose is--but she knows she needs to survive. After battling a violent storm and escaping a vicious bear attack, she realizes that her only hope for survival is to adapt to her surroundings and learn from the island's unwelcoming animal inhabitants. As Roz slowly befriends the animals, the island starts to feel like home--until, one day the robot's mysterious past comes back to haunt her." It's time to learn some Spanish and have some fun! Please come prepared with sunscreen, hats and blankets to sit on. ***The Storytime will be moved inside if there are any weather concerns. A decision will be made at 9am so please call ahead. If moved indoors there will be Storytime tickets. Please check in at the desk upon arrival for your Storytime ticket. Welcome to Baby Lapsit! Enjoy songs, fingerplays, movement, and simple stories with your young one and introduce them to the wonderful world of the library! Our Baby Lapsit program is intended for babies that are not yet walking (prewalkers), with a parent or other caregiver. Please check in at the desk upon arrival. Due to the nature of this program space is limited for a more intimate learning experience. ***The first 15min will be time for play and socialization for the moms and babies.
