Get ready for a week of creativity, discovery, and artistic adventure! In our week-long Winter Break Camp, students will “travel” around the world without ever leaving the classroom, exploring the work of contemporary artists and discovering how culture, place, and personal experiences can inspire art. Each day, we’ll visit a new country and dive into the work of inspiring artists. Students will experiment with a variety of exciting art mediums—including clay, textiles, printmaking, painting, and more—to create their own unique artwork inspired by what they discover. Along the way, we’ll talk about how an artist’s culture and background can shape their creative voice and explore how our own stories, experiences, and cultural backgrounds can become part of the art we make. Pack your imagination and get ready for a creative trip around the globe—no passport required!
