About this event

A graphic novel discussion group for 4th, 5th and 6th graders: read the book at home, then talk about it together, with snacks. The graphic novel for November is El Deafo, the #1 NYT bestseller by Cece Bell. Have you heard of “El Deafo”, the Listener for All? In this funny almost-memoir, Cece turns her new hearing aids into a super power...but can super powers lead to super friends? The library owns multiple copies; it is available in English, Spanish and as an ebook. Request a copy here. Please register so we have enough chairs & snacks. If your child has any dietary concerns or allergies, please let us know in the notes field.

Here's your chance to perform in front of an audience! Children between the ages of 6 and 12 can register to perform a musical piece (like a Talent Show with no competition). Register by noon on Nov 1st to be a performer (spots are limited). No registration required for audience members--family and friends are encouraged to attend! After registering you will be sent a form asking for more information on your child's selection and recital needs- this form must be completed to be considered registered.
