Join us for a Community Adventure Play Experience, an open-ended, child-led play program facilitated by Sarah Lawrence College’s Child Development Institute. Rather than following a set activity or finished craft, children decide what to make and how to play. The library will provide the space and materials; children provide the ideas. Caregivers will receive resources and information to support this type of play at home. The Child Development Institute, part of the Children, Childhood and Education Collaborative at Sarah Lawrence College, was established in 1987 to develop programs for early childhood and elementary school teachers, administrators, child development professionals, parents and the community at large.
