About this event

Dog Halloween returns to Washington Square Park this year! Bring your costumed pup to Garibaldi Plaza in Washington Square Park on Saturday, October 17, from 10 am to noon for the Washington Square Park Conservancy’s annual Dog Halloween Costume Contest. This year, no registration is required. Show up and strut! The line opens at 9:30 am, and you must be in line by 10:30 am to participate. Emceed by Must Love Dogs and Comedy and judged by a panel of community members and dog lovers, the contest will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes at the end of the event. Winners must be present to claim their prizes! Last year’s winners included Guns N’ Roses, Bob Ross, a pair of mops, sushi, and Taylor Swift’s engagement ring.
