15 Thursdays: Sep 17, 2026- Jan 14, 2027 [Except 11/26, 12/24, 12/31] In Person. In this storytelling and movement class, children will explore basic elements of creative expression, taking inspiration from beloved children's books. Expanding their sense of community, children will work together to create original movement pieces that celebrate a season, a tale, emotions, and cultures around the world. Movement and story help to build language, motor skills, strength in pre-literacy, and social-emotional awareness. This class is taught by lifetime Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan member and Upper West Sider Roberta Kastelic. Roberta teaches creative movement, ballroom dancing, and directs and choreographs children's musicals in public and private schools, working with a variety of age groups from toddlers to pre-teens.
