About Global Kids Music Embark on a musical adventure around the world! From the vibrant rivers of the Congo to the playful playgrounds of Mexico City and the enchanting streets of Paris, musician and early childhood specialist Sagit Shir leads children on an engaging global journey through storytelling, songs, nursery rhymes, and lullabies, while helping develop motor and communication skills, confidence, and an early appreciation for global music and traditions. What Parents Are Saying "Sagit is the baby whisperer—she has my 8-month-old mesmerized." "We love Sagit's music class! Her music is beautiful and unique, we learn about other cultures, she engages so wonderfully with my son and the other children, and the community experience she creates is magical!" "I love how relaxing the class is while still being really engaging. Most baby music classes feel overstimulating, but Global Grooves is my favorite." "Our daughter has truly blossomed during Sagit's class. Her warm, thoughtful approach and creative teaching methods have made a huge impact." "Sagit curates a fun and memorable mix of songs from around the world. The class is playful but also thoughtfully structured, and it is clear how much care goes into each session. The energy she creates is upbeat and welcoming. Can't recommend it highly enough!" Why Expose Your Child to Multiple Languages? Studies show that children who learn multiple languages during their critical early years develop stronger linguistic, cognitive, and social-emotional skills, setting a foundation for lifelong learning and adaptability.

Tuesdays ARTLAB After-school (6-9 years old)

A Rosie Day · Williamsburg

Art Lab Days: Tuesdays, September 15 to December 22 Ages: 6-9 years old Time: 3pm-6pm PS 84, CE Montessori & Arbor Pickup Available Hands in the clay, threads on the loom, and beads on a real handmade necklace! Art Lab is a tactile, process based after-school built around fiber arts, mixed media, and jewelry making, with sculptural clay work woven through the whole semester...we have our very own kiln!! Each week pairs a short tactile warm up with extended studio time exploring hand building clay, hand stitching, mixed media painting, and paper sculpture. We love tying our projects back to artists working in these same mediums across New York City right now, so your young artist can see how the skills they're building connect to a whole world of working studios across the city. Pieces stay with us through the semester, building toward a true family showcase. When the last piece is glazed, woven, or assembled, your artist walks their own family through the gallery they helped install and finished by their own hands. This is not a craft kit project, it's real studio practice, paced for curious hands and growing confidence. Schedule School Pickup (included!): PS 84 and CE Montessori, at no extra charge Arbor Pickup (additional charge): we have a dedicated teacher pick-up your child and order an Uber/Lyft to get your artist from Arbor to the studio safely, so a small added fee of $65 per semester applies to cover costs. Program: 3pm- 6pm Flexible Pickup: collect your artist any time between 5-6pm. Please note, we follow the NYC DOE calendar, with the semester closing out in our Winter Showcase on December 22. 💛

Intro to Mythology (grades PreK-1) | Tuesday, Fall 2026

Goose Grease House | Studio B · Williamsburg

CLASS DESCRIPTION: As mythology has fascinated our students since the very beginnings of Goose Grease, this course is designed for them to plunge right in. Always in an age appropriate way, we will be concerned with the deep questions myths pose, as well as the similarities sometimes encountered between different myths in different cultures. We will spend time studying some main Greek, Roman, Norse, Aztec, and perhaps Indian myths as we make different art objects relevant both historically and culturally. We will potentially make a Greek amphora, a Roman statuette, a Norse ship, and an Aztec mask. THE STUDIO: Art-intensive, with a focus on multi-media art making and history learning. Students will gain confidence in their art skills as they work with quality art materials and build their own miniature worlds. Each class includes a topical or historical lesson, followed by project led art-making time. We teach history through art! Our afternoon workshops are supplemental learning sessions to your child's education, as we add geography and history to all of our art classes. Our unique curriculum is designed and taught by Anna (MFA), Juan Carlos Donado (PhD in Philosophy), and Lucy Schwartzreich (BFA). School Pickup: Mondays: Brooklyn Arbor, PS 132 Tuesdays: Brooklyn Arbor, PS 132, PS 18, PS 84 Wednesdays: Brooklyn Arbor, PS 132, PS 18, C’e Montessori (limited PS 84 upon request) Thursdays: Brooklyn Arbor, PS 132, PS 84 *IS 318 Students walk over in a group on Fridays Want to learn more about our studio to see if we're a good fit for your child? Intro to World War I (grades 2-5) **Dual Language** | Tuesday, Fall 2026

Goose Grease House | Studio A · Williamsburg

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Beginning around 1870, our studies will begin with oil replacing coal, the internal combustion engine, and this leading into the First World War. We will study how the Second Industrial Revolution developed the machines used in WWI by making a related art object, potentially a trench. We will be taking a close look at inventions and natural resources, as well as geopolitics and military history. We will be thinking through the deep transformations that human beings went through as the ‘machine’ started to be a reality of war as well. **We will be running this class as a Spanish/English dual language curriculum. Notes will be written in Spanish and English and art instruction will be given in Spanish and English. Students should have a basic understanding of Spanish. This class is suitable for advanced first graders and up. First graders should be able to write comfortably and listen to historical lessons. This would also be a great fit for kids who have spent at least one semester in Studio B. THE STUDIO: Art-intensive, with a focus on multi-media art making and history learning.
