, As the veil grows thin and the gates close to the public, step into a side of Green-Wood few ever experience: after dark. Wander past monuments and mausoleums illuminated against the night sky while your guide brings to life the tales of some of our most fascinating permanent residents. The night ends with rare access inside the Catacombs, a space rarely opened to the public. While we love the spirit of the Halloween season, Green-Wood remains an active cemetery. Out of respect for the grounds, masks and costumes are not permitted and guests wearing them will not be admitted on the tour. Price: $45/$36 for Members Get Tickets Walking Tour (see details below) BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR TICKET, PLEASE NOTE: All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only permissible if the tour is canceled by Green-Wood. Tickets cannot be exchanged for a different tour date. Walking tour routes cover hilly, grassy, and uneven terrain which may be difficult to navigate. This tour is not ADA compliant and is not recommended for children under the age of 10. There is no place to sit down during the tour. We strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable footwear. This tour takes place in the dark. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a flashlight. Unless there is a medical emergency, it may be difficult to exit quickly during the tour. Please consider these limitations before purchasing tickets. , Photo Credits: Aaron Pierce Kick off the weekend with story time and crafts at Green-Wood! Presented in partnership with Brooklyn Public Library, these sessions are led by Kidsmobile Librarian Michaela Donahue, who brings wonderful book selections perfect for young readers. At every program, the Library’s Bookmobile will be parked right outside the Green-House from 2–3pm. After you check out books, come inside for stories and crafts from 3–4pm! It’s a perfect way to discover new favorites, spark imagination, and enjoy quality time together. Don’t have a library card yet? Sign up and get one on the spot! Price: Free Get Tickets The Green-House (see details below) BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR TICKET, PLEASE NOTE: All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child to attend this program. Participation is free; registration is recommended so we can get a rough headcount. Know Before You Go: Tickets: No registration required. Drop in and join us. Seating and activities are first come, first served. Recommended for ages 2 to 5 years old. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Where To Go: This program takes place at the Green-House (750 Fifth Avenue), near the Main Entrance on Fifth Avenue and 25th Street. Accessibility & Safety: The Green-House is ADA-accessible. A Haunting in Industry City is an art market centered around the horror genre. This October, we’ll have 20 vendors selling their wares, everything from art to apparel to jewelry to trinkets. All types of horror themed handmade goods will be available! Attendees can also look forward to a costume contest and a raffle for a basket of delightfully horrible prizes! We’re going to have a bit of everything, so make sure to RSVP and stop by! The first 50 RSVPs to arrive will be given a Haunting zine that includes peek a boo bingo and a spooky little photo card!
