At Little Bee Learning Studio, our mission is to meet little ones where they are, and give them the tools and support they need to grow. We understand and respect each stage of early childhood, and our 2-Hour Morning Drop Off Class is specifically designed to ease toddlers into independence and preschool routines. The classes are limited to five children and two instructors, to ensure each child receives personal attention and care during their morning routine, which includes art, music, group snack/lunch, circle time, sensory and free play. *There are no refunds for session cancellations. (TUESDAYS 18-23 MOS) Move & MAKE Ages: 18 to 23 months, with a grown-up Schedule: Tuesdays, 9:30 – 10:30 AM (enroll one day or for all!) Season: September 15 – December 15, 2026 Sessions: 13 Tuesdays (closed 11/3 & the week of Nov 23–27) Our tiniest movers are always on the go, so we move with them. This class blends gentle toddler yoga with the warm, hands-on sensory art A Rosie Day is known for. We stretch tall like sunflowers, sway like trees, crawl like busy squirrels, and breathe like the wind, and then we bring all that movement to the art table for squishy, colorful, wonderfully messy creating. Here is how we break up the hour, and why it works so well for little ones. We always begin on the mat with movement. Starting with yoga helps our busy bodies shake out their wiggles, tune into themselves, and settle into focus, so that by the time we reach the art table they are calm, present, and ready to create. From there we flow into collaborative, sensory art in a process-based studio, where children paint, pour, squish, and build right alongside one another. Movement first, then making, and the two are always connected. Little artists will move at their own pace in a warm, unhurried room. The season follows the world outside, from early fall sunshine to first snow, so every week brings a fresh theme, a new pose, and a new way to paint, print, and play. This is a grown up and me class, so your favorite caregiver stays close for cuddles, encouragement, and the occasional handprint. ** This season, our studio kiln comes alive! any time we work with natural clay, little sculptor's creations will be fired, then painted by the artists, and hand-glazed by our teachers, transforming their squishy handmade art into treasured keepsakes that everyone will cherish for years to come! Meet Your Movement Teacher, Lily: Lily brings together two of the things this program is built on: movement and art. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Visual Arts from Fordham University, along with more than 500 hours of vinyasa yoga training and a Children's Yoga Instructor certification from the Circle Yoga Cooperative, which means every class is guided by someone who truly understands both how little bodies move and how young imaginations create. She has spent years working with children, teaching at yoga summer camps where she has led art projects for groups of young learners and mentoring students in visual arts, and she has a gift for creating warm, encouraging spaces where children feel safe to explore, get messy, and discover at their own pace. When she is not on the mat or at the art table, Lily is passionate about art education, photography, and finding new ways to help children learn through play! **Class email will be sent out the week before the semester begins with a dedicated WhatsApp group per class!

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Beginning around 1870, our studies will begin with oil replacing coal, the internal combustion engine, and this leading into the First World War. We will study how the Second Industrial Revolution developed the machines used in WWI by making a related art object, potentially a trench. We will be taking a close look at inventions and natural resources, as well as geopolitics and military history. We will be thinking through the deep transformations that human beings went through as the ‘machine’ started to be a reality of war as well. **We will be running this class as a Spanish/English dual language curriculum. Notes will be written in Spanish and English and art instruction will be given in Spanish and English. Students should have a basic understanding of Spanish. This class is suitable for advanced first graders and up. First graders should be able to write comfortably and listen to historical lessons. This would also be a great fit for kids who have spent at least one semester in Studio B. THE STUDIO: Art-intensive, with a focus on multi-media art making and history learning. Students will gain confidence in their art skills as they work with quality art materials and build their own miniature worlds. Each class includes a topical or historical lesson, followed by project led art-making time. We teach history through art! Our afternoon workshops are supplemental learning sessions to your child's education, as we add geography and history to all of our art classes. Our unique curriculum is designed and taught by Anna (MFA), Juan Carlos Donado (PhD in Philosophy), and Lucy Schwartzreich (BFA).
