Take action for our waterways and wildlife during International Coastal Cleanup Day! Help remove trash from our shorelines and protect the natural ecosystems we all enjoy! Please dress accordingly for the weather. Bring a jacket, closed toe hiking shoes, and a water bottle. Litter picking materials (pick sticks, gloves, trash bags, etc.) will be provided. We will meet at the Environmental Education and Resiliency Center in Field 1 of Hempstead Lake State Park. No admission fees for this program. Each person in your party needs a ticket.Reservations are required for all programs. Space is limited. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please cancel so others may have the opportunity to attend. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze returns to Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson. The gourd-geous event features more than 7,000 hand-carved, illuminated jack o’lanterns arranged in jaw-dropping shapes, including dinosaurs and a carousel. Guests take a self-guided walk through the display and can stop at the Gourd & Goblet Tavern or the Headless Horseman Hideaway for spooky sips and haunting visits from the Horseman himself.
