About this event

Students learn to listen to a real heartbeat, splint a fractured paw, close a surgical incision on a training simulator, and read an actual x-ray to find the fracture, the swallowed sock, the thing nobody else spotted. Over 12 weeks, your vet-in-training will: • Take vitals and detect heart murmurs with pediatric-grade stethoscopes • Master splinting, wound care, and suturing on veterinary simulators • Diagnose from real x-rays — fractures, foreign objects, and mystery cases • Build a hardcover Case-File Journal documenting every patient they treat

Kodely Afterschool Studio @ Cleveland Elementary (OKCPS)

Cleveland Elementary School · Astoria

The best hour of your kid's day! Every day after school, Kodely turns a Cleveland classroom into a hands-on studio where PK-4 kids build, invent, and explore — screen-free, indoors and out. One day they're engineering marble runs; the next they're staging a puppet play, mixing lab-safe chemistry, launching a pop-up market, or designing their own board game. Kids leave curious, tired in the best way, and carrying something they made. What every day includes - Warm dismissal pickup right at the bell — no gap between the school day and the program - A hands-on studio project — building · science · arts · movement · collaborative play - Small-group time with a trained Kodely leader - Structured, on-time pickup The essentials - Grades: PK – 4 - Days: Monday – Friday - Time: 3:10 PM – 6:00 PM (aligned to Cleveland's bell) - Runs: Aug 11, 2026 – May 20, 2027 (follows the OKCPS calendar) - Tuition: $200 / child / month - Location: Cleveland Elementary - Register any time — new families welcome year-round

Hands-On Chemistry

ACE Academy

Kodely's Hands-On Chemistry Club is our most-requested program — and the one parents say their kids talk about all weekend. Every Friday is a new experiment: glow sticks they build themselves, slime chemistry, density towers, crystal gardens, elephant toothpaste, and a real take-home reaction kit. We teach chemistry the way kids actually love it — predict it, mix it, react, explain. All materials are nut-free, allergy-aware, and school-safe, and every session includes a "lab notebook" entry kids take home. The semester ends with a science-fair-style finale where every young chemist presents their favorite reaction to families.

Pokemon Game Design

ACE Academy

Kodely's Pokémon Game Design Club turns every Pokémon fan into a real game designer. Each week kids design their own Pokémon-style game on a school iPad or laptop — sketching original characters, naming moves, building stat-driven battles, and coding the rules using kid-friendly visual blocks (MakeCode Arcade). They earn designer badges as their skills grow, playtest each other's worlds, and leave the semester with a finished, shareable game playable at home. Led by trained Kodely instructors who are themselves Pokémon-fluent, the club teaches the foundations of coding, math, storytelling, and design — disguised as the game your kid already loves.
