Sunnyside celebrates its connection to Washington Irving’s classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, at this family-friendly daytime event. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze returns to Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson. The gourd-geous event features more than 7,000 hand-carved, illuminated jack o’lanterns arranged in jaw-dropping shapes, including dinosaurs and a carousel. Guests take a self-guided walk through the display and can stop at the Gourd & Goblet Tavern or the Headless Horseman Hideaway for spooky sips and haunting visits from the Horseman himself.
