Gina Chung Fortt has 14 years of experience in the Elementary grades as a classroom teacher and pull-out Reading Specialist. Gina is super passionate about supporting struggling readers and empowering parents and caregivers to guide their child(ren)'s literacy journey. Please sign up for a 30-minute consultation with our Youth Services Reading Specialist. Some topics may include: How to support your child's reading at home Review your child's current reading assessment (please bring copies, if possible) Learn what resources we have at the library to check out for your developing or struggling reader Other areas of concern or curiosity regarding your child's literacy development Sign up HERE for a slot! This program meets weekly on Saturdays for nine weeks, with an additional session on Friday, November 20 for showcase rehearsal. On Saturday, November 21, students will meet from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM for final the final dress rehearsal before presenting their cabaret-style showcase at 3:00 PM. Throughout the program, students will train in dance, vocals, and acting while working with their teachers to refine their pieces and performance skills. The experience culminates in a showcase featuring students’ favorite pieces for friends, family, and fans!
