Centenary Celebrations & Beyond, join the Fairfield Museum’s Walt Matis to hear how local spaces and buildings were designed to commemorate significant historical moments. Discover the story behind the Fairfield Public Library’s Memorial Room, Old Town Hall, and other Fairfield monuments and locations. Co-presented with the Fairfield Public Library Free. Meet Santa at the Holiday Pop-Up Market

Bring the little ones to meet Santa at the Fairfield Museum’s 12th Annual Holiday Pop-Up Market! Kick off the season and get your holiday shopping done at this festive holiday market that features a thoughtfully curated selection of handmade goods, original artwork, specialty products, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Santa’s visit is free for children 12 and under; adult admission to the market is $5. Cash or card accepted at the door. Each paid admission gives you a chance to win a gift bag from the Museum Shop, including a one-year family membership. Celebrating inclusion and community: We’re delighted to welcome students from Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s ASL Club, who will be joining us to support communication between Santa and children using American Sign Language (ASL). The student-led club promotes awareness of ASL, Deaf culture, and inclusive communication throughout the community. All proceeds support the Museum’s educational programs and free community events.

An engaging storytime for the littlest ones. Join us for songs, rhymes and books for babies and children up to 18 months old with their caregiver. This class is intended for babies and those starting to walk. Registration is required and is separate for each class each week. Please register each child individually. Space is limited. Registration opens at 8:00 pm on Monday the week prior. Please only attend ONE class of each type each week since they are the same class offered multiple times. In order to provide the best learning environment for all participants, we are unable to allow access, regardless of registration, if you arrive 10 minutes after the program starts.

Come to the Main Library to celebrate the fall season! We will use cake, frosting, and lollipop sticks to make a sweet and tasty treat! For children in grades 1-5. Registration is required. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Monday, October 19.
