About this event

Children in PreK-Grade 2 and their caregivers are invited to learn some beginning Mandarin with song, play, activities and stories. Ms. May, who is a Chinese teacher at Thistle Waithe Learning Center in South Salem, will lead families in an engaging language program to encourage and promote learning a second language. Registration is required for each session and opens a month prior to the program date. Programs like this are supported by the generous donations of our patrons.

Children entering grades 1-4 enhance their oral reading skills by reading to trained therapy dogs from ROAR Ridgefield. Time slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring a favorite book to read or pick one out in the library before your session. Registration is required and opens a month prior to the date of the program. Due to the nature of this program and popularity, we cannot accept late arrivals after 11:40 am. At this point your registration will be granted to the next present patron on the waitlist.
