About this event
Come sing, move, and find your calm! Children will explore their emotions through lively songs, fun movement, and storytelling activities designed to help them connect with their feelings. They'll also discover soothing, age-appropriate mindfulness practices like gentle breathing and imaginative visualizations to help them feel peaceful and present. Sarah Packard is a classically trained singer and actor with a rich background in musical and theatrical performance. She has a strong passion for education, having taught opera to youth in Detroit and children's music and storytelling in NYC. After transitioning from the corporate world, she is now returning to music education, incorporating movement and mindfulness as a certified yoga and meditation teacher.
Join the Busy Bees for a high-energy storytime full of wiggles, giggles, and learning. Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy thematic read-alouds, music, movement, and interactive play that support early literacy, motor skills, and social development. Rachel Izes is the coordinator of the Library's Early Literacy Program.
