About this event

NYPL After School is a free drop-in program for kids ages 6–12 that takes place after regular school hours on Mondays through Thursdays. Join our tutors and Teen Reading Ambassadors for homework help, reading recommendations, fun writing, STEAM, and enrichment activities—and even snacks! No need to register—just show up! Everything is free.

Join us for a special time to bond with your little one and meet other parents and caregivers. This gentle 20min storytime explores the joys of movement, books, and songs, in addition to building early learning skills you can practice at home. The rest of the hour is open play. Come prepared to sit with your child on your lap. Please bring your own blanket! Because of the open-play portion of this program, it is intended for pre-walkers and new walkers only. NOTE: Tuesdays the branch opens at 11:00 AM. For the morning session, we will let our patrons in for storytime at 10:20 and close the gate at 10:30 sharp! Please be on time, as no latecomers will be admitted.
