Our shows are 45 minutes long and feature a different story each week that involves different activities to go with our unique show each time: dancing, instruments, dress-up "photo-ops," one on one time with our handmade puppets, bubble time, and more! LEARNING Regularly exploring concepts like counting, simple vocabulary, hygiene, and hipster culture, Puppetsburg is a uniquely contemporary puppet show that is entertaining for infants, toddlers, and parents alike. CULTURAL AND ON-TREND Puppetsburg exposes munchkins to all kinds of cultural elements as well, preparing them to be on-trend New York and world citizens. Puppetsburg also offers exclusively-infant shows for the pre-walking crowd. Please note: adults come free; tickets are only required for munchkins. only one adult per child, please. Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. Bring the African savanna to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. The Lion King KIDS features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Young performers will also get the chance to learn a wide range of new theatrical skills—such as mask-making and puppetry—encouraging them to explore this beloved story with creativity and pride. Role placement is held on the first day of the workshop through an audition process. Every child receives a role and is involved; there are lead characters, supporting, and ensemble. Class time is rehearsal time - students are expected to practice and memorize lines throughout the week so that they come prepared to rehearse during class. Please note this class only meets on Tuesdays, except for Tech rehearsal & Performance. TUESDAY CLASS (9/8-12/12) Tech Date: Tuesday, 12/8 PERFORMANCE DATE: Friday, 12/11 @ 7:00 PM This class will take place at Stage Left South in studio A.
