About this event
This event will take place in-person at the Inwood Library. Join us for a 15-20 minute library playdate and meet other caregivers as we explore developmentally appropriate play materials in a safe, warm, and joyful environment. Extend your child’s learning through play! Toys will be provided. Please note that this is not a structured program and that children must be supervised at all times. For children ages 6 - 18 months. Registration is not required. This week our Open Baby Play is part of Library Open House Week. We'll give away Early Literacy Tote Bags. They include an Indestructibles bilingual book: Baby loves the library. Al bebé le enccanta la biblioteca by Grace Habib (2025). Indestructibles are books built for the way babies “read”: with their hands and mouths. Chew-proof, rip-proof, and drool-proof, they’re printed on a unique 100% nontoxic, paperlike material that holds up to anything babies can throw at it—gumming, spilling, dragging across the floor. If Indestructibles get dirty, just wash them off.
