Brain Waves for Change: Be Kind Bracelets, Ages 5-12FREE

Brain Waves for Change: Be Kind Bracelets, Ages 5-12

Tuckahoe Public Library · Tuckahoe

Using string and beads, we can have a mindful time of bracelet making. First, cut a piece of string for your wrist size. Then, choose a couple of beads to start your bracelet. Choose the letter beads for a word that brings positivity, and slide it onto the string: happiness, smile, joy, and etc. Finish your bracelet by adding more beads, and ask a BWC member to tie it onto your wrist. Description: Learn about the importance of mindfulness while making bracelets with positive messages! Children can create bracelets with encouraging and supportive words. This activity provides increased awareness, and allows the children to have a moment in the present. Brain Waves for Change will also provide kid-friendly coloring sheets for children to take home.
