Progressing from our Creative Ballet foundation, Ballet I takes dancers to the next phase of learning. Additional ballet positions are appropriately integrated along with more challenging arm and leg skills standard in the technique. Dancers are introduced to the ballet barre during warm up and will develop their musicality while increasing their endurance, flexibility and strength through across-the-floor and center work. The Ballet I dancer’s self-expression and imagination is broadened as they’re led through themed sequences calling for creativity, presentational skills and ballet technique.

This is an intermediate level class for students with the focus, discipline and interest in progressing all of their dance techniques through a strong ballet base (minimum 2 years of ballet required). Students must be well behaved and show appropriate class etiquette. Class begins with a classic barre, followed by center work, across the floor, finishing with jumps and leaps. Dancers will be evaluated for consistency in their ability to remember and demonstrate all covered vocabulary. Each class will also support and strengthen dancers' creative and artistic performance quality, dynamics and musicality through conceptual based sequences aimed at enlarging the way they perform dance technique (or steps). Standards and curriculum become more challenging and increasingly complex over the session/year.

Pre Pointe prepares students with 2+ years of Ballet training &/ or a strong visible ability for Pointe work. The session focuses on strengthening and preparing the youngest participants, while continuing conditional training of older students working En Pointe. Younger students will work in ballet slippers &/ or Demi pointe shoes. Older students that show physical readiness will be assessed by the instructor to determine the type of pointe shoe they may wear (Demi or Full). Note- This is for the serious, self motivated ballet student interested in challenging and expanding their knowledge. Dancers will be asked to execute more complex sequences, diligently work on increasing flexibility, strength and the ability to self-correct as well as well thought out artistic decisions and performance execution. Standards and curriculum become more challenging and increasingly complex over the session/year.

Welcome to our soccer classes for 4&5 year old players! For those of you who have played in our toddler classes you may be asking what is next? Well in this age group we are going to build on those foundations whilst also introducing a more team oriented environment. If your player is new to soccer, no worries the classes cater for beginner players and will introduce and work on the soccer fundamentals. If you have played multiple seasons in this age group, check out our experienced classes on Saturday morning for players who already have a basic understanding of the game. During the class our coaches will lead the players through a series of organized mini games that help to develop listening skills, balance, running, playing as a group, basic ball skills and foot-eye coordination. In this class in particular, they will start to play 1v1s and scrimmage as a team.

The good news is that you have found your way to Williamsburg Soccer Clubs classes for 2 year olds, we are glad you are here! First time here? Check out what’s on offer and if you have any questions please let us know. We are excited to get your player started on their soccer journey! Our soccer classes for 2 year old players (24-36 months) is a great introduction to soccer in a social environment. Our coaches will lead the players through a series of games that will teach them basic soccer skills, help with cognitive development, gross motor skills and build confidence. Will they pay attention and be able to do all the drills in the first class? Every single child is different! Most players in this age group aren't in school or daycare yet so it may take some time getting used to listening to an adult that isn't their parent or caregiver and that's ok! We will practice using our listening ears every week in class. Although we don’t expect every single player to be able to focus on their first day, this does get better every week. Once they become accustomed to the routine and our coaches they will pay attention more and more as the weeks progress.
