About this event

Inspired by Montessori's Philosophy, this experience aims to stimulate children's 5 senses through activities and materials that are designed to enhance the child's understanding of shapes, colors, textures, sounds, tastes and smells. Sensory bins, play-dough, bubbles, edible painting, sand and water exploration, items of common use, become a unique opportunity to engage with the world in a way that will help your child grow and develop. Children use their senses in order to study their environment. By participating in sensory activities, children can obtain clear information that helps them classify their surroundings. These classifications serve as stepping stones to organized intelligence, which gives children the ability to adapt to their environment. Designed by Child Psychologist and Director, Stefania Clementi, each class is thoughtfully crafted to engage children's curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Little Chefs Italians

Thu, Sep 17 · 3:00 PM

Allora Bk · Park Slope

Join us for a delightful series of cooking classes designed especially for toddlers and their caregivers. In this fun-filled session, we'll dive into the world of Italian cuisine, crafting pasta from scratch (fettuccine, ravioli, cannelloni, etc.), whipping up delicious pizzas and focaccias, creating simple desserts (tiramisù, strudel, cookies) exploring the art of baking, and much more! Our easy-peasy Italian recipes are perfect for little chefs who love cooking at home and want to share the joy of culinary creation with their peers. These classes are also a wonderful opportunity for picky eaters to explore new foods in a fun, pressure-free environment, where curiosity and shared experiences with peers often encourage children to taste and enjoy ingredients they might not try at home. Through hands-on participation, children will not only learn about food preparation but also discover cultural traditions and the importance of teamwork and patience. All ingredients, recipes, and tools will be provided by Allora, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our budding chefs and their caregivers. Plus, each participant will enjoy a light snack, a taste of our delicious recipes during the class and take home their creations to share with their family. We can accommodate some allergies and intolerances, please send us an email to info@allorabk.com prior to registration, to explain your child's needs and we'll do our best to meet them.
