About this event

Join us on our new and improved stroll route, we will start at the map stand by the parking lot. Little listeners are invited to join us for a guided stroll through the Gardens! Along the way, we’ll discover nature’s wonders, in our formal gardens. The tour ends at the Thatched Cottage with a story and hands-on craft for each child to take home. Ages 2+ | Included with Admission. Location: Meet at the Parking Lot Map Stand

Celebrate First Night at Old Westbury Gardens! Experience the wonder of the holidays as Westbury House glows with festive light and beautifully decorated period rooms filled with enchanting floral displays. Enjoy a self-guided evening tour, savor cookies and warm cider on the West Porch, meet Santa, and capture a keepsake holiday photo. Enjoy a Christmas concert by the St. Agnes Cathedral Choir of Rockville Centre, followed by our outdoor tree lighting ceremony—a heartwarming finale to an evening of holiday magic. Let the music, lights, and holiday spirit set the tone for a memorable start to the Christmas season at Old Westbury Gardens. TICKET INFORMATION: In response to recommendations from previous attendees and in order to make this a special experience for all, there will be fewer tickets available for this event. TICKETS: $25pp; $18 child (ages 7–17); children ages 6 and under are free; members receive 20% off. Advance tickets required. Please note: A ticket does not guarantee a seat for the performances. We can only provide a limited number of seats but there is standing room available, and the music can be heard throughout Westbury House.

Celebrate the holiday season at Old Westbury Gardens! Step inside Westbury House and experience the magic of Christmas past with rooms beautifully decorated in period style and filled with festive cheer. Stroll through the gardens, enjoy holiday treats like cookies and warm cider, and don’t miss a special visit from Santa himself! It’s a timeless holiday tradition for the whole family! Admission: $22 adults; $20 seniors (62+) and full-time students with valid ID; $12 children (ages 7–17); free for children 6 and under and Old Westbury Gardens members. PLEASE NOTE: Last admission for non-members is 2pm. Last admission for members is 3pm (this is to walk the grounds only). Westbury House closes at 3pm due to a private event.
