LOCATIONS: Fall Season: All Junior Varsity classes, except the 11:35 AM Saturday class , are held outdoors at the 7th & Jackson Field during September and October . Beginning November 1 , these classes move indoors to The Inner Athlete (Suite C409, 720 Monroe Street, The Monroe Center, Hoboken) and remain indoors through March . If there is rain or inclement weather during September or October, outdoor classes will be moved indoors. Families will receive an email by 2:00 PM that day if a weather-related location change is necessary. The 11:35 AM Saturday Junior Varsity class is held indoors year-round at The Inner Athlete. Winter Season: All Junior Varsity classes are held indoors at The Inner Athlete, Suite C409, 720 Monroe Street (The Monroe Center) in Hoboken. Spring Season: All Junior Varsity classes, with the exception of the 11:35 AM Saturday class , are held outdoors at 7th & Jackson Field . In the event of rain or inclement weather, classes will be moved indoors to The Inner Athlete , and families will be notified by 2:00 PM via email. The 11:35 AM Saturday Junior Varsity class is held indoors at The Inner Athlete year-round. SCHOOL PICK UP OPTIONS: After-school pickup is available on Mondays through Thursdays from 770 Jackson (Miles Square) , Hoboken Catholic , and the Jubilee Center . To add school pickup, simply select the "School Pickup" add-on before completing your registration. ABOUT TIA'S JUNIOR VARSITY CLASS: Discover the thrill of our Junior Varsity Class at The Inner Athlete, a one-of-a-kind multi-sport experience for children aged 3 to 6! This engaging program encompasses an exciting range of sports, including hockey, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, t-ball, bowling, baseball, track and field, football, and more. Our dynamic activities promote the development of both gross and fine motor skills. Designed to foster essential skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, body awareness, and fair play, each session is carefully structured to provide a well-rounded experience. It comprises a warm-up, skill-building exercises, sports-focused open time, games, and a cool-down. In our Junior Varsity Class, monotony is left behind. Our approach involves a progressive teaching method that fosters an active, controlled environment, encouraging healthy competition and teamwork. We strive to create an atmosphere where children can thrive and excel while having a blast. Classes are available in one or two-hour sessions, exclusively tailored to meet the needs of 3 to 6-year-olds. Welcome to TIA Cheer: a first-of-its-kind Hoboken cheerleading class! Our program is geared toward those interested in learning all about cheerleading in a fun, inclusive and non-competitive environment. Created and taught by former national all-star cheerleading champion and Hoboken mom Michelle Mazurkiewicz, we focus on introducing and honing the fundamental elements of cheerleading including motions, jumps, cheer, dance, stunts, performance and more. We’ll also focus on confidence, positivity and strength -- all while having a blast and learning a lot! Each semester culminates with a showcase for our cheerleaders to demonstrate all they have learned to their families. This Fall 2026 semester will consist of 12 drop-off classes and is open to grades K-3 who have participated in at least one TIA Cheer session in the past. Class Dates: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 (showcase on 12/18 at end of class) Time : 3:30-5 pm Location: The Inner Athlete / Monroe Center C-409 *Includes a green bow with a hair tie attached. Within a supportive group setting, children will have numerous opportunities to enhance essential social skills like sharing, following directions, and interacting with their peers. Additionally, the 1-hour class includes dedicated time for free sports play, allowing kids to explore and enjoy a variety of sports. Each week, our curriculum follows a consistent, progressive routine, ensuring that children benefit from a structured, fun-filled experience. The activities we offer are tailored to align with the sport introduced that week. From hockey and basketball to tennis, bowling, volleyball, soccer, track and field, baseball, and more – every sport is carefully selected to be age-appropriate and enjoyable for the little ones. Welcome to The Rookie Class at The Inner Athlete! This sport-focused class offers an immersive 45-minute or 60-minute experience, tailored for children aged 2.5 to 3.5 years. While parent or caregiver participation is optional, we encourage their involvement based on each child's needs. Please note that this class is not a drop-off program. The Rookie Class is designed to foster essential skills such as coordination, strength, balance, and locomotor abilities. Throughout the sessions, children will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of various sports. Our engaging group setting creates a supportive environment for kids to practice sharing, following directions, and socializing with their peers. In addition to structured activities, the one-hour class incorporates open play sports time. This allows the young athletes to explore and enjoy different sports in a fun and uninhibited manner. Our curriculum follows a consistent, exciting routine. Alongside sports instruction, we incorporate music, parachute time, and a range of gross- and fine-motor activities that align with the sport introduced each week.
