About this event
ABOUT THE PROGRAM Ready for some exciting Magic: the Gathering competition? Kids get new Magic packs, build great decks and play matches every Friday night. They earn points for each win, and the one with the most points at the end of each season (February and June) gets a prize! If your child joins this program after the first session, we configure points to make sure they are still a contender for the season finale prize. Cards distributed during the program must remain at the Lab for duration of season. Kids can take them home at the end of the season. This program is designed for kids who know basic MTG play and rules. Winter League runs September - January. Spring League runs February - June. SCHEDULE This subscription program meets Fridays from 7pm-9pm. Due to the ongoing competitive nature of Magic League, drop-in registration is not available, but players may join the league after the beginning of the season. COST Friday Night Magic League is a subscription program costing $165/month. The subscription fee includes free MTG packs set aside for participants of the program and ensures we can plan to have enough packs for everyone. MAKEUPS If you know your child will be absent for Magic League, let us know. They will receive their MTG packs next time they attend Magic League, and we can move the registration for the date they miss to Teen Board Games Saturday or Sunday, or Sunday Showcase (Afternoon D&D or TCGs) according to their age and interests. Our policies, such as our Terms & Conditions and Health and Safety protocol can be found in our website's footer. Questions? E-mail frontdesk@brooklyngamelab.com

LIFE SKILLS THROUGH GAMEPLAY As featured in U.S. News and School Library Journal , our Social Skills program on Saturdays teaches children emotional regulation, cooperation, and executive functioning through immersive Dungeons & Dragons gameplay. We encourage children to reach goals while immersed in a fantastic experience. Kids work as a group on an imaginative and exciting quest. Collaboration and communication is facilitated and supported through all aspects of the program by our specially-trained counselors. Social Skills + D&D accepts participants on a rolling basis --you can join at any time during the school year! PROGRESS THROUGH PLAY When kids arrive, we assist with their transition into the gaming space.
