We are thrilled to share that WRT is partnering with Wise Owl NY to bring an exciting new enrichment opportunity to our 4s program this fall! This class focuses on the essential early reading skills children need as they prepare for kindergarten: phonemic awareness, letter-sound relationships, rhyming, decoding, and print awareness. Through hands-on literacy games, interactive read-alouds, and creative writing invitations, children strengthen their reading foundation while developing independence, curiosity, and confidence. Held on Wednesdays after school, Little Readers builds upon the WRT 4s curriculum and empowers young learners to see themselves as readers—ready to soar into kindergarten and beyond. Key Developmental Skills Phonemic awareness and phonetic decoding skills Refinement of dominant hand use, writing grip, and pencil control Letter formation and name writing recognition Introduction to self-portrait formation and creative expression Listening comprehension and verbal processing Small-group collaboration and cooperative learning
