Our After School program is designed for kids aged 4 - 10 (preK - 5th grade) who love to create, explore and think outside the box. Class Experience: Our classes are all about process over perfection; where kids are free to explore, take risks and express themselves. We create at the park when possible Children will explore a wide range of materials and techniques—experimenting with painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and more, through both traditional and un-traditional art-making processes Guest teachers: occasionally, we invite leaders of other creative organizations to come and share their knowledge and artistic journey with our students. Our past guest teachers include Mr. Carlo from [ fLo rEs ta ], Ms. Annalisa from The Blue Bus Project, Ms. Van from The Sewing Clubhouse and Ms. Seda from Little Hand Bklyn Sample Schedule 2:30pm – 3:15pm: Pickup from local schools and selected bus stops 3:15pm - 3:45pm: Snacks & homework 3:45–4:45: Art activity #1 5 - 5:30: Second art activity or open stations. Or drop off at the park if we do projects outdoor (we will communicate via email or text). If you want us to pick up your child at a local school, please notify us via email at least 48 hours in advance. Our program follows the NYC DOE calendar and operates on all days when NYC public schools are in session. Preschool families: Please note that some preschool calendars may differ from the NYC DOE schedule. Kindly review your booking confirmation for the complete list of afterschool program dates. What to bring: nut-free snacks refillable water bottle clothes you don't mind getting dirty (* Free Trial Class can’t be rescheduled) (** Parent-Teacher Conference days are days when dismissal is around noon. Our Creators class is designed for children ages 4 and up who love to create, build, and dream big. Class Experience: In this one hour class, children will explore a wide range of materials and techniques—experimenting with painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and more, through both traditional and un-traditional art-making processes This is a space where creative thinking is celebrated—where children are encouraged to take risks, think outside the box, and bring their boldest ideas to life. Guest teachers: occasionally, we invite leaders of other creative organizations to come and share their knowledge and artistic journey with our students. Our Explorers class is a gentle, joyful way for little ones (ages 1–4) and their grown-ups to step into the world of creativity together. Through sensory play, and nature-inspired art, this class encourages connection, curiosity, and creative confidence. Class Experience : We begin each class by introducing the theme of the day. Our classes follow a child-led philosophy. Sensory-rich stations are thoughtfully set up to encourage exploration and self-expression at each child’s own pace. The art project is instructor-led. Our art teacher introduces new vocabulary and early art techniques in a classroom-like environment. If your child isn’t ready to participate in the art project, they can always join when they feel ready. Notes: Free Trial Offer* Class packs are available at a discounted rate. This class is best suited for walkers and children who do not put things in their mouths. We use non-toxic materials; however, our materials are not taste-safe. Adult participation is required. One adult per child due to space limitations. Class schedule: this class opens when NYC DOE public schools open. When schools close, this class will close accordingly.
