Local Author Visit in Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month

Join us in the Children's Area of the Main Library where Melinda González will present her debut kids' book, Curious Mind and Dancing Feet. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. All children and their grownups are welcome! Note from the author: “The book follows a Puerto Rican Muslim girl as she shares what it's like to live with ADHD, from a wandering mind and the wiggles to the laser focus she brings to her love of bugs. With the support of her Mami, Abuelita, and friends, the story celebrates disability joy and the strengths, complexity, and wonder of a neurodiverse mind.”

All children are invited to join us at our library table from 5-6pm during the Bloomfield Community Farmers Market! We will feature special themed crafts, games, and other fun activities while the market is active. The Farmers Market is on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30pm and runs from June 2 - October 27.
