Intro to Robotics is an 12-weeks introductory course designed to make learning fun for kids! This course focuses on robotics, engineering, coding, physics, and math. Throughout this course, children will use LEGO pieces to construct their own robots and learn to control them using simple computer programs. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning experiences. Kids will actively engage in building and programming their robots, gaining practical insights into how math and science concepts apply in real life. Following the STEAM approach, our classes integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math to foster problem-solving abilities and encourage creativity. Kids will discover the interconnectedness of these subjects and their applications in solving real-world challenges. Through the process of building and coding robots, children will develop essential problem-solving skills and nurture their creativity. Students bring their creations to life using VEXcode , a beginner-friendly block-based programming platform that introduces coding concepts in an engaging and accessible way. As they design, test, and improve their robots, they also learn the Engineering Design Process, computational thinking, and problem-solving strategies used by real engineers. Team members are expected to take an active role in the engineering design process, testing, troubleshooting, and preparing for tournament competition.
